iVision: Asking, Challenging, Dreaming is the Department of Diaspora Affairs annual International Conference enabling its participants a platform to come together and bring up questions regarding the past, present and future vision of the Jewish people, Israel and Zionism.
In October 2018, we held our second conference in Budapest, Hungary – where it all began. Budapest, the birthplace of the Zionist visionary – Herzl – is the ideal setting for a conference like this as it has an added value of enabling participants not only an academic venture, but also an opportunity to experience and feel “first hand” the history and roots of Zionism, as well as the way it is understood today.
In our first iVision Conference which took place in Paris, France in December 2017, we had more than 150 participants from close to 20 countries that enjoyed the unique, and for some, life-changing experience. From the feedback of most participants, it was very clear that they are hungry for more and that iVision is here to stay and expand. this upcoming November, we will host our fourth gathering in Marseilles, France.
iVision gathers Jews from all over the world for a weekend full of learning: group conversations (round tables), talks and lectures by local and international keynote speakers, historical site visiting and more.
